Orange Park United Methodist Church realizes
the importance of having an exciting and loving children’s ministry. We offer
a variety of programs for all ages and we encourage parents to participate with
their children in these activities.

Classes are offered every Sunday morning at
the 9:25 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship hours. A staffed nursery is available for
children under the age of 2. In addition, a children’s sermon is conducted
during the 9:25 and 11:00 a.m. worship
services after which the children ages 4 & 5 may leave the sanctuary and
be escorted to their Sunday School class.
Our music program encourages young
children to learn about Christ through song and fellowship. The choirs practice
weekly and perform at various times throughout the year.

Children's
Council's Special Events
The Children’s Council is comprised
of parent volunteers who coordinate all special events for the children. These
events include the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival and the Christmas
Pageant. Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting times at OPUMC. Typically, VBS is held
in June from
9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for children ages 4 years through the 6th grade.

Wonderworks is a play-school
program designed to provide parents in the community with child care in a safe,
healthy and loving environment. It provides opportunities for preschoolers to
enjoy enrichment activities designed to contribute to their physical, mental,
emotional, social and spiritual development.
In addition to a loving environment,
Wonderworks is licensed by HRS, and we have received the United Methodist
Association of Preschool’s Accreditation. Children are accepted from age 2
months to 5 years.
Preschool hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Kindergarten hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m,
Monday through Friday.
