Men!

We are beginning a
new Sunday school class that will help you to
become a “fisher-men”. The class starts August
3 at 11:00 am.
The class is called
“Caring Evangelism” and will focus on using the
talents and ministries already in place in our
church to share the love of Jesus and to offer a
path to salvation. The premise is that we are
to support our brothers and sisters in Christian
love and offer the opportunity to allow the Holy
Spirit to move in their lives.
Many people, when
they think of evangelism, think of handing out
tracts door-to-door, or parking themselves in
someone’s living room for hours until they
“give-in” and accept Christ as their Savior.
This class takes a fresh approach! We believe
that by befriending new comers and showing
Christian love, people will be inclined to come
to Jesus in their own time or in God’s time. It
is not necessarily our job to save them,
but it is definitely our job to share the
Good News of the Gospel, and to offer a chance
for a relationship with Jesus.
Caring Evangelism
focuses on the process of caring and sharing
through actions that most of us already do.
Christian action includes just being helpful,
and concerned and compassionate toward our
fellow man. Jesus asked his disciples to
“follow him” and then spent the next few years
“training” them by asking them to follow His
example. Caring Evangelism will help train us
to be better examples and to help others in a
caring way to find the love of Christ.
